#LifeAtJulie : Let’s Meet Thibault Devallé, Business Developer

Do you want to know more about our scheduling assistants? Then it’s likely you’ll have a conversation with Thibault, our Business Developer! Today, we introduce you to the most romantic person of our team at Julie Desk ?

Thibault Devallé - Julie Desk

  1.   Hello Thibault, can you tell us a little about your background?

Hello! So, after getting a baccalaureate degree in Science, I entered a dual technical and commercial training program called ESTA at a business school in Belfort. I just graduated from the program actually. I wanted to continue working on the technical side during my studies so ESTA was a perfect compromise.

  1.   How did you get to Julie Desk?

I joined Julie Desk in February 2018, for my end-of-program internship as a Business Developer. At the end of this 6-month internship, I was offered the opportunity to stay on and accepted the proposal.

  1.   Can you tell us about your role and describe a typical day at Julie Desk?

As Business Developer, I’m the company’s representative for prospects and current customers. Indeed, as soon as someone fills out a form on our site, the first conversation takes place with me. My goal is to listen, understand and explain what we offer at Julie Desk and help them understand how the solution can be relevant to them.

I don’t have a typical day and that’s why I love this job. Every day is different. I talk to new people every day and it’s great.

  1.   What advice would you give to someone who would like to follow in your footsteps?

I would first tell them that this is a good profession to get into. To really enjoy it, you have to love connecting with people, you have to be interested in their problems and be willing to help them. In short, you have to be very attentive, patient and be willing to accept failure, all that is very important.

  1.   What is the main challenge you meet (or have met) at Julie Desk?

Julie Desk is an innovative solution that aims to save time for people whose appointment making has become an irritating and time-consuming task.

Nevertheless, succeeding in delegating this task to an artificial intelligence can sometimes slow down some prospects and this is understandable. My main challenge is to reassure them by showing them that Julie knows how to do her job perfectly by adapting to their appointment habits.

  1.   How do you see Julie Desk in 5 years?

Julie Desk has a great team and ideas are always coming up. In 5 years, I imagine that the company will have grown well and that our new projects, such as @Slash, will have grown in size, with new loyal customers.

  1.   How do you see yourself in five years?

I imagine myself wiser, more confident but always with the same motivation to learn every day. We’ll see what the future holds for me;)

  1.   Three words to describe you?

Humble, joker and go-getter!

  1.   Something people don’t know about you that you’d like to share?

I eat too many cupcakes, for someone who claims to be a sportsman, it’s almost shameful;)

  1. What’s the first thing you do in the morning? Do you have a routine?

I’m going to sound soft, but I kiss my sweetheart and then get up. If the day doesn’t start like that, I know it won’t be easy.!

  1. Your favorite App?

My Little Turf, it’s an app I recommend to all football fans.

  1. Your favorite dish?

Without a doubt, tartiflette! Even in the summer!

  1. Favorite quote?

Talking is a need, listening is an art.

  1. Who inspires you the most?

Simon Sinek, I completely share his point of view on what a leader should be.

  1. Your best memory at Julie Desk?

The team building weekend we did in Normandy where we found ourselves swimming in the English Channel in the middle of October. It was awesome!
